Perhaps you have a gap in between your two front teeth and you don’t like to look at it every day. There are now several options available to close the gap, including realigning the front teeth using invisible braces, or a veneer that attaches to the front teeth and artificially removes the gap.

Veneers
Have you noticed the perfect looking teeth smiling back at you from the movie screen? Well, these actors are likely to have had little help. Dental veneers are the go-to cosmetic dentistry procedure for many entertainers who have perfect smiles and teeth. But the good news is that you don’t have to be rich and famous to be able to afford them!
While there are different types of veneers available, porcelain veneers are the preferred choice because of their appearance and strength. By using veneers, the shape, size and position of your teeth can be perfected. You can also choose the shade you think shows off your teeth the best.
A dental laboratory creates the veneers to meet the exact specifications of your mouth based on a dental imprint your dentist makes at your first appointment. In some cases, veneers can be made on-site. Prior to the veneers being fitted, there may need to be some dental treatment undertaken. This is done to make enough space on the top layer of the tooth to fit the veneer. The entire treatment is fairly simple and results can be a dramatic improvement. If teeth are being brought forward, or a smaller tooth is being made to look like a bigger tooth, pre-treatment preparation may not even be needed. This will be discussed in your consultation.
After the initial consultation, where all options will have been presented and an individualised plan put in place, including aftercare, an impression of your teeth will be taken. This sometimes requires the use of a local anaesthetic. Temporary veneers will then be attached, so you can see what a difference it makes. These will stay in place until your new veneers are ready to be applied.
