We have invested in this latest technology to offer our patients superior results and a much nicer experience. A revolutionary state-of-the-art system for replacing amalgams and restoring cracked or chipped teeth and veneers. CEREC® System is the computerised state-of-the-art technology that allows the fabrication of a metal-free, all-ceramic restoration with the hardness as close to the tooth substance as available. It’s simply easier, quicker, gives superior results, compared to traditional crowns and veneers, plus we’ve kept the price exactly the same, so it’s a complete win for our patients.

What is the process?

3D Scan – your visit begins with a quick, painless digital scan using the CEREC Primescan^TM. The innovative Smart Pixel Sensor processes more than 1,000,000 3D points per second, producing a photorealistic and totally accurate ‘image’ of your teeth.

In other words, we get an instant, high-precision scan of the teeth which need protecting. A complete 3D-scan model is available immediately. The scanning avoids and negates the need for messy ‘goop’ impressions as well as temporary crowns and fillings.

Instant crown creation

There and then in the clinic, the CEREC technology takes the high-resolution scan and mills an exact crown or veneer. The ceramic blocks are then carved out with diamond burs in our enclosed machine. This process takes 5-10 minutes.

The Pathway team use their expertise to colour-match and glaze the restoration. As a patient, you are invited to leave the clinic for 1-2 hours whilst we mill and complete your crown. The new crown is precision-made for you.

On that same day, return to have your crown fitted, which is an easy process, with the precision-made fit.

Can I eat normally after getting a CEREC® crown?

CEREC® is used to mimic biological teeth. Each crown is bonded individually. You can clean, floss, eat on your tooth after a CEREC® as per normal. A well-designed CEREC® should feel comfortable from the very first fitting.
